I'm an illustrator working in colored pencils. I'm partial to the hand-drawn/ hand-painted illustrations since they seem closest to capturing the true essence of what they depict.

     I've been a fifth grade teacher for over 20 years. Teaching this age group has led me to appreciate, as they do, the unexpected plot twist; the element of surprise in a good story.  Likewise, the startling jolt that comes from the art of surrealism has always been a favorite of mine and is something I often strive for in my art.
